We will never forget

1LT Mark Harold Dooley

1LT Mark  Dooley was killed in action on September 19, 2005 while deployed to Ar Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom

1LT Dooley was assigned to the Vermont Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 172nd Mountain Infantry Regiment, 42nd Infantry Division, Jericho, Vermont 

At the time of his deployment Mark was police officer for the Town of Wilmington, Vermont.

5K Race (Walk/Run) & Kids Fun Run

A tribute to 1LT Mark Dooley and all who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country

This event is held every September at 1 School Street, Wilmington, VT. 


11th Annual Event will be held:   

Saturday, September 19, 2020


A special day of remembrance  featuring:

Live music (by Welkin Again),  event shirts, food, custom race medals and trophies.  

This event has been a wonderful success thanks to the tremendous generosity of many sponsors, supporters, participants and volunteers
